A tour of the Ostravar brewery is a good way to
spend a pleasant afternoon. With the help of a professional tourguide, you
can acquaint yourself with the various steps in the process of brewing Ostravar
beer. The tour begins in the brewhouse – Ostravar's brewhouse has the youngest
copper surfaces in the Czech Republic. Next, you will have the opportunity
to view the fermenting room, where beer is fermented, and in the lager kettles,
where our beer is aged. Afterwards, the tour will take you through the filtering
room, the keg filling area, and the bottling plant.
The tour ends in the old brewhouse, which is home to an interesting brewery
museum exhibit. Here, you have examine various displays illustrating the
historical development of this traditional Czech craft. The final stop in
the tour is an Ostravar beer tasting session. The brewery tour and brewery
museum exhibit in Ostrava has been open since 2000. Each year, approximately
7,000 visitors take the tour. |
