| Pivovary Staropramen a.s., which is part of
the third largest brewery group in the world – Belgium-based Interbrew,
is working with its partners to build a chain of Staropramen branded
pubs based on franchising. We have prepared various restaurant concepts
for the chain: Potrefená husa, Sportovka, Staré dobré časy, Belgian
Beer Café and Na Verandách. We evaluate the realisation of the selected
concept first and foremost in terms of the attractiveness of the chosen
locality, character of the pub space, and the estimated remodelling
costs. The principal objective of the branded pubs is to showcase well-treated
Staropramen beer in the context of providing first-class services in
an attractive environment, improving the culture of beer drinking and
the qualitative level of gastronomy in general. If you are interested
in co-operating with Pivovary Staropramen on a franchise basis, please
read the realisation
guide and our basic survey.

Potrefená husa is a concept of a modern, cosmopolitan
pub, suitable mainly for the centre of a large city. The ideal
space for this restaurant is located on a square or pedestrian
zone with glazed storefronts or large windows. Usually, the space
is located on a street corner. The optimum size of the space is
300 to 380 m2, at least 250 m2 must be on the ground floor. To
optimise return on investment, it is best to achieve a seating
capacity of over 120. In Potrefená husa restaurants, great emphasis
is placed on serving well-handled Czech and import beers, both
on draught and in bottles. The beer offering includes draught
Staropramen – Lager, Garnet, Pale and Dark, the Czech specialty
beers Velvet and Kelt and the Belgian beer Stella Artois. The
draught selection is supplemented by a wide variety of Belgian
specialty beers – such as Hoegaarden, Leffe and Belle-VueKriek.

Staré dobré časy, which is Czech for "the
Good Ole Days", is a concept based on Staropramen Brewery's
very successful period in the 1930s and 1940s. These traditional
pubs are located in buildings that have histories of their own
and whose construction layouts and decor are reminiscent of that
period. The pub interiors utilise historical elements and visitors
can use items such as a beer warmer, porcelain beer coasters,
and other accessories that time almost forgot. For purposes of
realising these pubs, the basic criterion is a seating capacity
of over 90. The minimum restaurant floor space is 250 m2, and
all candidate premises are evaluated on a case-by-case basis with
regard to the possibilities inherent in each building. "Staré
dobré časy" restaurants serve first-class, well-treated beer
with pride. Their menus include traditional draught Staropramen
beers – Lager, Garnet, Pale and Dark, as well as the Czech specialties
Velvet and Kelt and the Belgian beer Stella Artois.

Sportovka is a project of a modern sports bar
offering its guests a wide variety of draught beers, traditional
and international cuisine, big-screen viewing of sporting events
on several monitors, and a fun-and-games section with pool tables,
darts and a betting office right in the bar. An ideal setting
for Sportovka bars are glass-fronted commercial premises in large
residential areas with high-rise apartment buildings, often former
mid-sized grocery stores. Floor area possibilities are fairly
flexible; the most important factor is the size of the fun-and-games
area. Any floor area of 350 m2 or higher can be considered. Sportovka
restaurants always offer flawlessly treated and served Staropramen
Beer – Lager, Garnet, Pale and Dark, the Czech specialties Velvet
and Kelt and the Belgian beer Stella Artois on draught.

Belgian Beer Café, a concept originated by the
Interbrew brewery group, the majority owner of Pivovary Staropramen,
is an entirely new type of branded restaurant. The concept is
one of a luxury beer bar and stylish restaurant serving Stella
Artois beer, Belgian specialty beers, and Belgian and French cuisine.
The optimum candidate premises for this type of branded restaurant
are in highly attractive localities in the centre of large cities.
The key beer brand in Belgian Beer Café restaurants is the most
popular Belgian beer, Stella Artois, which is accompanied by seven
other Belgian specialty brands. Czech beer is represented here
by Staropramen Garnet and Lager.
