- On 13 July 1869, the Prague newspapers carried an advertisement announcing the subscription of shares in a new "Joint Stock Brewery in Smíchov"..
- The imaginary clock representing the history of Smíchov beer began to tick on 23 October 1869, when the engineer Gustav Noback handed over to the principal shareholders the construction plans for a new brewery. The first batch of beer was ceremonially brewed on 1 May 1871 and sales of beer could commence on 15 July 1871.
- In 1913, the brewery registered the Staropramen trademark.
- In the 1930s, the Staropramen Brewery first became the brewery with the biggest annual production volume in Czechoslovakia, a position it held for many years.
- In July 1999, Staropramen was relaunched with a striking new logo, recalling the most successful period of Staropramen Brewery's history – the 1930s.
- On 24 June 2000, the First Staropramen Brewery Beerfest was held. Its huge success gave rise to the tradition of annual Beerfests in Prague.
- Staropramen is exported to 30 countries throughout the entire world.
- 2006 - new Staropramen bottles 0,5L and 0,3L
- In February 2007, another novelty relating to Staropramen brand was launched onto the market – Staropramen non-alcoholic in 0,33 l cans. This brand is also available in 0,5 l bottles. The company introduced Staropramen non-alcoholic at the beginning of 2005.
- In June 2007 Staropramen launched a unique new product in the Czech market – the self-cooling CoolKeg. CoolKeg is based on a unique, patented self-cooling technology developed by Germany-based company CoolSystem. The secret of how CoolKeg cools itself can be found in physical laws. The keg’s cooling action takes advantage of the water-absorbing ability of the naturally occurring mineral zeolite. The self-cooling process is started simply by turning a lever on the top of the keg, which interconects chambers with water and crushed zeolite. The zeolite starts to absorb water vapor, and the resulting heat is released from the keg. The result is that the water in the space between the keg walls freezes. One hour later, twenty liters of Staropramen Světlý beer is at an ideal 5°C and remains at this temperature for twelve more hours, at a minimum.
